    Probably best known for his work on the innovative 1990s sketch comedy show In Living Color, David Alan Grier has enjoyed a successful career as a comedian, an actor and an author. Born and raised in Detroit, Grier would later graduate with an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama. After dabbling in some radio work with NPR, he transitioned to Broadway in the 1980s before quickly finding himself immersed in the film world. Once Grier's comedic chops were allowed to shine on In Living Color, movie roles began pouring in, as Grier starred in popular films at the time such as Boomerang, Jumanji and Blankman. In addition to his acting work, Grier often performs stand-up comedy and in 2009, he released his first book, entitled Barack Like Me: The Chocolate-Covered Truth.

Medical examiner Marianne Hamel and forensic photographer Nikki Johnson are the artists of the exhibit. The images show human tissue after death through a 1000-times magnified object lens. Every disease and injury got its own significant shape, color and texture.

    Iron Sketch is a monthly competitive sketch show hosted by The Chairman for Philly Improv Theater every 1st Thursday of the month."The Chairman” opens Iron Sketch to anyone provided they will pledge their time & efforts over a single month to writing, producing, and performing ten minutes of original, sketch comedy. Each contestant will be asked to collaborate with randomly assigned teammates and will work under the supervision & direction of a mentor.Each month, twelve respondents will be randomly picked & divided into groups of three. The groups will then have a month to write and develop their show with their assigned mentor. The teams then present their shows to a live audience and star-studded panel of judges!

    In Dialogue: Wolfgang Tillmans is an exhibit centered around the photograph Nachtstillleben (Night Still Life) by German artist Wolfgang Tillman. He is known for his nonjudgmental eye of the contemporary world and for his participation in the youthful European counterculture. Seven prints by Tillman are showcased in addition to Nachtstillleben, as well as works by artists including Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter and Felix Gonzalez-Torres.
