»Museum of Afro-American History & Culture

This museum features an exhibit of portraits of Black Natchez (1880-1920) and the Rhthym Night Club Fire. You can see the past come to life through a one room schoolhouse, the church that built character, the home that built character, farming and business artifacts, and an NAPAC video. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Part of the Natchez National Historical Park along with Fort Rosalie and Melrose, the William Johnson House was a home owned by William Johnson, a free African American barber. His lifelong diary tells the story of everyday life in antebellum Natchez. The site includes interactive exhibits, furnished family quarters, and a bookstore.
