Find it on the bottom level of the historic Edgewater Hotel, which is a bed and breakfast style inn. No details were spared in the recreation of an old-time ice cream/soda shop that includes many vintage antiques taken right out of the owner’s great grandfather's original ice cream shop. Scoops Old Fashioned Ice Cream Store provides a family-friendly, old-fashioned environment to enjoy Hershey’s Ice cream, hot dogs or a tasty bowl of soup. -Diane Dilov-Schultheis
Specializing in breakfast and lunch, First Watch opens early every morning and closes mid-afternoon, but this is not your typical breakfast place. The staff starts several hours before opening so they can prepare all of the day's fresh foods, which means they slice seasonal fruits and vegetables, whip up made-from-scratch French toast batter, and bake a variety of muffins every morning. First Watch serves an exclusive premium blend coffee, an assortment of specialty dishes as well as healthy options, and provides free WiFi and newspapers to all customers. This is the place to go for a fresh, made-to-order breakfast (brunch or lunch) served by helpful, friendly staff in a contemporary setting. -Diane Dilov-Schultheis
Liam Fitzpatrick’s Irish Restaurant and Pub is located north of Orlando in beautiful Lake Mary. The exterior resembles a traditional Irish pub, and the interior features lots of wood accents, a pub area with a fully stocked bar, and several tables. Don't judge The Dungeon by its outside appearance - it looks like nothing more than an old barn or warehouse, but the inside is a different story and is one of the nicer venues to enjoy local Orlando bands. The Dungeon has a stage with an open dance floor setup on one side and a full-length bar on the other to keep your legs and arms moving to the music. You'll also find a few tables inside and some available for outside seating as well. Unlike the music venues you're used to, The Dungeon has clean restroom, which will keep the female crowd happy. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive, but one of the few drawbacks is that they only serve beer. The music varies from different genres, so be sure to check their webpage for more information.Check out The Dungeon and spend an evening rocking out to live music in Orlando! - Diane Dilov-Schultheis
Sharky's Sports Bar is a great place to watch football matches with your friends and family over a glass of cold beer. The outdoor seating invites you to chill with your dear and near ones, while gazing at the nearby areas and enjoy an evening full of entertainment.
This delightful little spot is located outside of Orlando, though for tea-lovers or Anglophiles, its well worth the drive. Dickens Coffee & Tea Room provides an authentic English tea room experience, complete with scones, finger sandwiches and - of course - delicious teas! Also available for private parties of all types, Dickens Coffee & Tea Room is open for tea service six days a week. Reservations are highly recommended.
This elegant restaurant is perhaps the best known of the city's French/Continental restaurants. Boasting the AAA Four Diamond Award and Wine Spectator's Grand Award, the award-winning food does not come cheaply, but the ambiance and culinary treats are worth it. You'll often find an older, more sophisticated crowd that appreciates the rare-in-Orlando opportunity to dine in elegance, which includes candlelight, crystal chandeliers and classical music. The menu includes Escargot-filled Puff Pastry, Sherried Oyster-Mushroom Bisque, and Texas Ostrich Tenderloin. A 1,200-bottle wine list is available as well as a full bar.
