Built by George Merritt Jr. between 1945 - 1946, it was originally called the Mart Theater and was a cinema hall till its closure in the late 1950s. It slowly deteriorated as it was not used for a long time. With the help of locals who wanted to save this historic landmark, it was restored and was renamed as The Old Theater in 1995. It is now the cultural hub of the town with dramas, musicals, children's plays and workshops being held regularly.
Established in 1911, this performing arts theatre presents a wide range of entertainment including theater productions, dramas, musicals, comedies, and even performances in sign language.
