The Far West Nightclub is a Mexican themed nightclub located in the city of Dallas. The atmosphere here is great and the sound and lighting is fantastic. Dj's spin out hit numbers at while groove to the music on the spacious dance floor. They have a well-equipped bar with some fantastic tequilas and a load of other drinks available. This is definitely a must-visit spot to experience the city's nightlife.
Entertainment, drinks and a bundle of attitude, Ok Sports Bar has them all. Party all night with your friends, in a club that spells fun all the way. From Tequila shots to amazing concerts, Ok Sports Bar is a party animals dream come true. Subdued lights and a youthful crowd make for a stress-free environment. If that's not all, one can also hop into recently relocated Club Babalu that shares the same address, thus adding to your Dallas nightlife experience.
Located above the Lakewood Theatre, Balcony Club is a perfect place to unwind after a long day at work or just to relax on the weekend. They feature live jazz and blues acts. Classical guitar concerts offer frequent entertainment, as well as an occasional Poetry Salon to add a touch of culture to your life. Relax in one of the comfortable booths or take a seat at the bar. There is plenty of room to stretch your legs. The well-stocked bar offers cold beer at a great price, wine, and mixed drinks.
Lakewood Landing is more upscale than they care to admit. Everyone in town knows the babe behind the bar. Lucille, working on her 31st year at the Landing, is more legendary than the mermaid mural on the side of the building. Tables and a few booths provide a place to munch on burgers or kick back a beer or two. A jukebox with hits from the 1970s to the 1990s provides entertainment when live events aren't scheduled. If billiards is your hobby, you're sure to find a game here. Typical bar menu with burgers, nachos and fried everything. The telltale sign that this is not any old hole-in-the-wall is the veggie burger on the menu. The chicken-fried steak is wonderful for those not counting calories.
Minc Lounge is one of the best finds on the Dallas nightlife scene for the simple fact that it is ever-evolving. With an organic environment that may evolve from Asian inspired one season to Moroccan the next, a patron needs to visit often to stay current with the latest trends in music and cocktails. The Sons of Hermann Hall is the best club in town to take a non-Texan. It is situated on the eastern edge of Deep Ellum. Enjoy good music, including country and rock, though the emphasis is country. The club is housed in a 1911 building, with an interior boasting hardwood floors and intricate beautiful oak ceilings. Bands play upstairs, and there are bars on both floors with various bottled beers and mixed drinks. All ages, including children, are welcome. During scheduled events, burgers and fries are available and are prepared by the Hall's youth group. You don't need to bring a partner, and age is not a factor. Bring an instrument and be prepared to join the circle.
Old Crow is a dive turned popular college hangout with a variety of live music venues. From modern street art on the walls down to the wood floor, you'll find a little bit of everything here. There are a couple of pool tables and darts in the back if you're looking for some competitive play. Acts include local rockabilly bands and DJs that play anything from psychedelic tunes to top alternative hits. The Old Crow is so popular that it's sometimes hard to find a place to stand, much less sit. You'll find a large number of Crow regulars sitting around the bar until the college kids run them off during the later hours.
This upscale bar has the feeling of a semi-luxury loft and apartment. It is often filled with young yuppie-types, both gay and straight, who plop themselves on the overstuffed couches and engage in lazy , casual conversation. Do not let them scare you off, Zubar is still one of the friendliest places in town. Be sure to also try out the food, which includes oysters, shrimp, chicken and sandwiches.
If shouting and screaming in the midst of a head-banging crowd is your idea of a fun evening out, The Door is the just the place for you. Featuring brand new bands and upcoming local artists, this is a delight for music lovers. It also holds "Battle of the Bands" which is a hit with the crowds!
Terilli's has some of the best live jazz music in the Metroplex. Although this place is great for a date, the business crowd is also well represented. During lunch and after-work hours the restaurant is nearly full. Any of the traditional Italian dishes are wonderful with a glass of wine chosen from the impressive wine list. Terilli's is well known for the Italchos, Italian nachos with a wide variety of toppings to choose from.
