The easy-going and fun-loving nature of the bar personnel rubs off on everyone, making it a relaxed and magnetic haven for locals and visitors alike. The burgers here are amazing, but there are also sandwiches and salads to enjoy.
Entertainment, drinks and a bundle of attitude, Ok Sports Bar has them all. Party all night with your friends, in a club that spells fun all the way. From Tequila shots to amazing concerts, Ok Sports Bar is a party animals dream come true. Subdued lights and a youthful crowd make for a stress-free environment. If that's not all, one can also hop into recently relocated Club Babalu that shares the same address, thus adding to your Dallas nightlife experience.
Enjoy great Italian food at Alfonso's. The friendly service and made-to-order dishes are excellent. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, as though you are sitting in Aunt Maria's kitchen waiting for your lasagna. Begin your meal with an order of scrumptious garlic rolls. The lasagna and pizza are great, but the specialty here is the chicken piccata. Alfonso's also features a fully stocked bar with a well-rounded wine list.
Located above the Lakewood Theatre, Balcony Club is a perfect place to unwind after a long day at work or just to relax on the weekend. They feature live jazz and blues acts. Classical guitar concerts offer frequent entertainment, as well as an occasional Poetry Salon to add a touch of culture to your life. Relax in one of the comfortable booths or take a seat at the bar. There is plenty of room to stretch your legs. The well-stocked bar offers cold beer at a great price, wine, and mixed drinks.
Legal Grounds serves up an innovative and quirky combination of gourmet and specialty coffees with specialty legal services by attorney and owner, David Musselwhite. Legal services are confidential and unobtrusive. The library-style decor offers warm, cozy chairs from which to sip coffee and tea. It is typically the first stop for many morning commuters. Menus are simple and select, one for coffee, teas and food; another for legal services. Coffees range from classic cappuccino and mochas to imaginative concoctions of hazlenut, almond and expresso (known as the Juror's Jubliee). Frozen or iced coffees are also on hand as are loose-leaf teas. Prices for iced coffee are the same as for hot. The 'Daily Docket' lunch specials include salads and sandwiches, perfect for a quick bite on the go. Legal services include uncontested divorces or name changes, consultations and reviews.
Chef Lisa Baliet commands this neighborhood wine bar. Cock and Bull has a casual, laid-back atmosphere, but the food is always gourmet. The signature appetizer of Butternut Squash and Roasted Chestnut Ravioli is excellent. Specialties include the Horseradish-Crusted Salmon with Thyme-Orange Vinaigrette and juicy, seared Rib-Eye with outstanding dauphinoise potatoes. Several wines are available and there are nine beers on tap.
Dallas' favorite winetasting facility, Times Ten Cellars, hosts some of the best wines from premiere regions in California. You will want to enjoy some of the close to home grown. Wines are also created from the Cellars' very own Cathedral Mountain Vineyard in Alpine, Texas, and the finest wine equipment is shipped from Italy and France. The Cellar's tasting room is a blend of modern and old world decor, where guests can sample their favorite wines. There are 7000 vines grown in the vineyard, some of which include Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Wines can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle.
Seemingly fashioned upon a beer lovers fantasy, Craft and Growler offers its customers a relaxed and laid-back place to enjoy some exceptional brew. The bar boasts over 40 craft beers on tap, alongside an even more impressive variety of bottled beers from local and far-flung breweries. Part bar and part shop, Craft and Growler also stocks a variety of creative, unusual and classic growlers for avid beer lovers who would like to take their beer to go. The Amsterdam Bar is located in the historic Exposition Park area between Fair Park and downtown. With a tree lined exterior, patrons sip the latest import or their standard Guinness, and discuss the world on the front bench. Others hold court at the bar as the owner does quite the show in pouring drinks. An eclectic mix of people visit this place to chat, play chess or fire up their laptops. Others make their way to the back courtyard to listen to live bands. The Amsterdam has weekly events such as Jazz Night and rotates their selection of import brews.
Lakewood Landing is more upscale than they care to admit. Everyone in town knows the babe behind the bar. Lucille, working on her 31st year at the Landing, is more legendary than the mermaid mural on the side of the building. Tables and a few booths provide a place to munch on burgers or kick back a beer or two. A jukebox with hits from the 1970s to the 1990s provides entertainment when live events aren't scheduled. If billiards is your hobby, you're sure to find a game here. Typical bar menu with burgers, nachos and fried everything. The telltale sign that this is not any old hole-in-the-wall is the veggie burger on the menu. The chicken-fried steak is wonderful for those not counting calories.
Grailey's isn't just any wine and beer store. The tasting bar and vast collection of wines - including expensive and rare bottles — make this a unique place to purchase your favorite wine or something for a special occasion. Not quite the wine connoisseur you'd like to be? Grailey's is a great place to learn a thing or two. Cozy up to the tasting bar and take part in a miniature wine fest. Employees will teach you everything you need to know — from the proper way to taste wine to which wines to serve at Friday's dinner party.
It's fun to hang out at the Double Wide bar. That's because even if you're considered a nerd, just chilling at this place can make you feel cool. Treat yourself and your friends to some drinks at this joint in Deep Ellum. Take your autograph book along, since you're bound to meet some cool bands playing alternative rock, country, and pop at this place. Double Wide also features fantastic DJs from time to time.
