This clean, modern restaurant is located in Downtown Mesa. As the name implies, Republica Empanada specializes in empanadas, delicious hand pies filled with a wide range of delicious meats, potatoes, cheeses and vegetables. Empanadas are a common food in most South American cultures, and Republica Empanada offers a taste of all these different regional empanadas. Sample these delicious treats filled with things like pernil (slow roasted pork), achiote potato, and boricua (pernil with rice and peas), as well as less-traditional versions like the Hawaiian or Greek empanadas and dessert versions. Other offerings besides these delicious food pockets include arroz con pollo, tortas, salads and papas fritas.
The crabs might be angry, but you sure won't be after you give this restaurant a try. Tha main attraction at Angry Crab Shack is the real, southern-style boil in a bag of shrimp, crab, crawfish or lobster with traditional cajun seasonings-or for the truly daring, the ultra-spicy Angry Ghost seasoning. As Hawaiian food includes many Asian influences due to its proximity to the continent, so Aloha Kitchen also has alot of Asian influenced dishes on the menu. Asian Cafe Express is the first restaurant in the Phoenix area to serve up traditional Hong Kong-style Chinese cuisine. The menu is truly astounding, with over 300 total items to choose from. One interesting thing to try is their set regional dinners, where they offer up pre-fixed menus themed to different regions of China, including Canton, Szechuan, and of course Hong Kong, allowing you to experience a meal like you might if you were in those places. There is nothing fancy about Flancer's, the decor and arrangement of this place is very simple and no-frills. The USP, is obvious the extensive menu full of delicious and lip-smacking dishes—making it an ideal eatery for a light meal of salads or yummy pasta. Being honored with 'The Best Sandwich Shop' and 'Best Neighborhood Restaurant', the place continues to excel as a favorite among locals as well as tourist alike. With limited seating arrangement, it might tend to get a bit crowded on a weekend though.
India Oven provides Mesa and the entire Valley area with some truly delicious, authentic Indian cuisine.
