    The exhibition Making a Classic Modern: Frank Gehry’s Master Plan for the Philadelphia Museum of Art is about the renowned architect Frank Gehry and his unique plans for the renovations of the museum. The architect is known for his extraordinary shapes and perspectives. From 1999 to 2003 did he work on the constructional drawings for the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angles. His latest projects are to create a blueprint for the new Facebook campus and the Guggenheim Museum in New York and Abu Dhabi.

    Artificial Light: Flash Photography in the Twentieth Century is an exhibit about the invention of the flasbulb in photography. The 1920s saw the mass production of flashbulbs, turning the art of photography on its head. Photographers were now able to capture movement and action, proving important for use in the journalistic world. Mark Cohen, Andy Warhol, William Klein, Robert Mapplethorpe, Robert Frank, William Eggleston, Richard Avedon, Barbara Morgan, Weegee and Lee Friedlander are some of the artists showcased.

    Vermeer’s Young Woman Seated at a Virginal

    Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) was a dutch painter famous for his use of light in his works. Vermeer’s Young Woman Seated at a Virginal was one of his last works and hasn't been displayed in over ten years. The exhibit also features paintings from Rembrand's pupil Gerbrand van den Eeckhout and Frans Hals. All paintings are on loan from the Leiden Collection.

    Gerlan Jeans Loves Patrick Kelly is an exhibit featuring the clothing of American fashion designer Gerlan Marcel and her collection for the brand Gerlan Jeans. The collection is inspired by the renowned fashion designer Patrick Kelly (1954-1990). Marcel takes the signature buttons and bows from Kelly's designs and reinterprets them. Her designs are bright, colorful and full of pop culture references.

    In Dialogue: Wolfgang Tillmans is an exhibit centered around the photograph Nachtstillleben (Night Still Life) by German artist Wolfgang Tillman. He is known for his nonjudgmental eye of the contemporary world and for his participation in the youthful European counterculture. Seven prints by Tillman are showcased in addition to Nachtstillleben, as well as works by artists including Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter and Felix Gonzalez-Torres.
