Stanton’s Mill was built circa 1797 and was in function till 1994. This historic flour mill was restored to its 1850s appearance by miller John Childers and is run on electricity. The water wheel though not in use adds another charm to this place. It was over the years the focal point for village life and was used for various things such as a voting station and a distillery.
Marvin's Mountaintop is one of the best music festival venues most music enthusiasts have ever known. The venue is home to the annual All Good Music Festival which is a camp-out extravaganza. Over the years, the likes of Dark Star Orchestra, Fort Knox Five, Umphrey's McGee, The Pimps Of Joytime, The Lee Boys and many more have graced the stage here. Farmers & Threshermens Jubilee is a community event that benefits the New Centerville and Rural Volunteer Fire Co. Corn shelling, dog-powered butter churning, blacksmithing, broom making, ground hog thresher, antique tractors and antique power saws are just some of the demonstrations that will take place at the annual Farmers & Threshermens Jubilee. A parade, food, contests, a quilt show and sale, pageant, and more can also be enjoyed. The Farmers & Threshermens Jubilee will take place in September.
A yearly Somerset County event for over 100 years, this eight-day agricultural and educational fair features carnival rides, games, entertainment, an exhibit hall, animal shows and judging, competitions, food and much more. The Somerset County Fair will take place in August.
