»Jungle Juice

Jungle Juice started out as a smoothie and juice joint, and has grown over the last 30 years into a meat and seafood restaurant with a bar. The fresh fruit smoothies are still the specialty, but are only served until 1p. Jungle Juice offers phenomenal vegetarian dishes, an anomaly in Mexican restaurants, and freshly-grilled meats and lobster. The restaurant is located in the hub of the Zona Dorada, and is a great place to take a break from the tourist attractions. Dine on the patio and you just might find yourself staying for a few hours.

»Puerto Lagarto

Puerto Lagarto is a great place to stop off for a few tacos and a couple of cervezas while you're in the Zona Dorada. Its central location puts you right in the hub of the touristy buzz of this neighborhood. »Fiesta Land

This large white castle by the sea on the southern end of the Zona Dorada is Fiesta Land. It is a large complex made up of nightclubs, bars and restaurants. This is a perfect place to go if you are in the mood for a wild night out without ever having to go far at all. Fiesta Land contains such popular nightclubs as Bora Bora and Valentina, and you can even start the night out right with a meal at Pepe's & Joe brewery and restaurant, also located within the complex. Located on the malecon at Avenida del Mar, this is the only Italian Coffee Company in Mazatlan. This chain is popular enough with both locals and tourists that it takes away some business away from Starbucks. Italian Coffee Company has coffee shops all over Mexico. They serve cold and hot espresso drinks, biscotti, sandwiches, croissants and more. Or just come by for a sweet blended treat, topped with whip cream.

Naufrago's is a fun restaurant and bar, located on the Malecon, south of Fiesta Land. This restaurant offers two levels of dining, with outdoor patios on each floor that overlook the water. The menu is seafood-heavy, with some traditional Mexican dishes as well. There is a full bar at Naufrago's and during the week, young people crowd this watering hole.
