The Peninsula School of Art is home to the Guenzel Gallery, which is host to a variety of year-round exhibitions.
The exhibits detail the uniqueness of Door County from settlement onward and also include a natural history diorama and the Pioneer Fire Station.
With locations in three different areas, the Gills Rock Museum, Sturgeon Bay Museum and the Cana Island Museum at the Cana Island Lighthouse, this museum houses artifacts, displays and the history of nautical exploration and culture.
The Miller Art Museum hosts seven changing exhibits per year and houses a permanent collection of Wisconsin art. Art classes, lectures, tours, and outreach programs are available throughout the year. Be sure to stop by the gift shop.
Founded by the Peninsula Arts Association in 1962, "to promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of the arts through outreach programs, events and exhibitions," the Francis Hardy Gallery "is home to some of the most creative and popular gallery exhibitions in Door County." The Francis Hardy Gallery is located on Anderson Dock in the village's historic Anderson Warehouse.
The Whitefish Dunes State Park stands as an eloquent park site in the U.S. State of Wisconsin. It is situated on a land area of 867 acres (351 hectares). The U.S. State Park site was founded and established in the year 1967. The park is swanked by an array of rare mammals such as skunks, woodchucks, raccoons, rabbits and squirrels. It is a magnificent avenue to indulge into recreational activities such as fishing, boating, canoeing and swimming. The State Park is an elegant avenue for all ages.
