The Who Hits 50!
Frank Erwin CenterApril 27, 2015 7:30 PM
1701 Red River
Austin, TX 78701
After helping reinvent rock music in the mid-'60s with an intensely electrified sound, The Who continued on into their twilight years in true fashion. Comprised of lead guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend, lead singer Roger Daltry, bass guitarist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon, the Who revolutionized rock and roll through a variety of concept albums, outstanding live shows and other sonic inventions that would go on to influence a whole new generation of musicians. Today, despite losing both the founding drummer and bassist, the English group still soldiers on and tours quite frequently.

The Body is a doom metal duo from Providence, Rhode Island, that self-released several demos and home recordings before emerging with a proper debut, All the Waters of the Earth Turn to Blood, in 2010. Unafraid to break conventional metal band etiquette, the outfit is known to offer unexpected live performances, like when it paired up with the Assembly of Light Choir on a tour in 2011 so that a rotating cast of 20 female vocalists joined the band on stage. The Body released its sophomore LP, Master We Perish, in 2013.
