The Main Deck features an Exhibit/ Museum that encompasses the 48 years in and out of service. Guides are available for questions in the Captain's Quarters and CEC.  Active Military, World War II Veterans and former Crew Members of BB-62 are asked to stop at the Box Office in the Battleship NJ Visitor's Center.     Whirr is a shoegaze band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Created in 2010, the group earned widespread national attention with its 2012 debut album,Pipe Dreams, before breaking into international audiences with the follow-up record, Sway, in 2014. Though the group is often compared to Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine, Whirr offers a punk rock spin on the romantic and distorted sound of the original wave of shoegaze in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

    This annual 15-day festival provides a unique venue for performing artists to present exciting new work in dance, theater, music, comedy, puppetry, poetry and visual arts. Innovative plays, beautiful dances and poignant musical performances are offered. The festival is timed to follow the Toronto and New York Fringe Festivals, so some of the major acts from the other two festivals perform at this one.
