Located five miles west of Mankato on State Highway 68 and U.S. Highway 169, the 2,689-acre Minneopa State Park features 61 drive-in campsites, six electric sites, one cabin, a four and a half-mile hiking trail, modern restroom facilities, showers and more.
Located on less than one acre of land, the First Presbyterian Church is a Richardsonian Romanesque style church that also served as a log svchool house before. Organizing events like the Sunday Class and various other sports activities too that encourage the children to come and attend and learn more about the Church and Jesus.
In the process of being restored, this future museum was the childhood home of Maud Hart Lovelace (1892-1980), author of the famed children
One can browse through this 1870s general store, with shelves that are lined with everything from clothes and medicine bottles to spectacles; this store was forced to close in 1877 because of the grasshoppers that devastated the area's agriculture and left farmers in debt. Much of the unsold inventory still lies on the shelves, and the store is now managed by the Nicollet County Historical Society.
Minnesota's only underground winery, Morgan Creek features a wine tasting room and a gift shop, as well as hosting a full season of special events.
