The dishes are well garnished and delicious, and will satisfy the largest appetite.
The Brasserie Georges has been a monument of Lyonnaise gastronomy since 1836. The building alone is worth the visit—it is designed in art deco style and up to 650 people can be seated under the majestic ceiling, which has lustrous frescos. The menu remains purely traditional with sauerkraut, seafood and fish, and some Lyonnaise specialties. Everything is served with a drink, of course. Any journey to Lyon must include a visit to Georges.
Indian and Pakistani specialties are combined here to satisfy the taste buds of all those who like spices and scented rice, and these rich delicacies are indeed what awaits the customer here. This establishment offers a warm welcome and customers are served by staff in traditional Indian costumes in a traditionally decorated dining area. The preparations are elaborate in presentation and can be a tad too spicy, so make sure you request the chef to go easy on the spices if you prefer slightly bland food. Combining recipes and flavors of two countries and cultures, guests will find nothing but an exotic treat from the East at this lovely restaurant.
