    »Lubbock Community Theatre

    Exactly the kind of theater organization that should be in every community, the Lubbock Community Theatre (LCT) has been around in Lubbock since the 1940s and continues to provide live community theater. This organization allows ordinary citizens to take on new roles and experiences perhaps far different from their everyday lives. Each year, around 7 pieces are produced as well as 9 performances by individuals and provide year-round enrichment to the community. The Theatre is also very active with young ones, with the “Fairie Tale Tea Party” and a children's musical theater program. LCT is also partly responsible for Shakespeare in the Park during the summers. Aspiring playwrights should also take note that LCT has performed several plays by local authors.
