The two-story Museo de Dibujo Castillo de Larrés is a unique and significant tribute. It is located in the 15th Century medieval castle which was in ruins until mid-1980s. After much deliberation, it was renovated and opened as a museum in September 1986. The 14 rooms of the museum have more than 3000 drawings belonging to 700 artists. Of these, 350 are updated from time to time. The old tower of the museum is used for exhibits of works from local artists in collaboration with other institutions. The beautifully arched central courtyard is used as a venue for lectures and presentations.
Housed in the western wing of the Cathedral of Jaca, Museo Diocesano de Jaca is a museum dedicated to Roman and Gothic religious art from the early 11th Century to the 14th Century. It was initiated in 1963 and it displays Romanesque and Gothic frescoes and carvings on polychrome wood. Besides this, it also possesses various artifacts, paintings and character pieces belonging to the 12th Century. Located in a 16th-century citadel, the Military Miniatures Museum opened its doors in 2007. The pentagon shaped fortress is the apt location of the museum dues its own military rich history. The Military Miniatures Museum has a collection of more than 32,000 tin soldiers, dioramas and more that depict the world's combat history in a unique way. From chariot battles to the bombing tanks, the museum covers almost all the known world events though the focus is on Spain. You will get to look at all the vessels and instruments that have been used to make and master the art of cheese-making from the time of its inception to modern day.
