Operational since 1852, Kilburn High Road railway station is a London Overground station. It is situated in Camden borough. Formerly known as Kilburn & Maida Vale station, it had four stations. Gradually over the years, the lines were transferred to slow main line platforms and were later demolished. The station has also survived major fires that took place in the 1970's. It is now occasionally used by the London Underground network for track changing trains.

Heavily sculpted carvings surround the sanctuary and the chancel, depicting resurrection of Christ, burial, crucifixion and passion, apart from saints and apostles. Owing to its intricate architecture and huge size, St Augustine's is fondly known as "Cathedral of North London."
