»Mr Frascati

This restaurant is just like any other good Italian eatery - quality food, friendly staff, and a warm ambiance, but what sets it apart is its special emphasis on Tuscan cuisine. Recently remodeled, it now has a more contemporary look, with water-color paintings adorning the walls, and large windows letting in a lot of sunshine, which helps create an airy, cheerful feel. The menu has some mouthwatering delights such as Mango and Fresh Crab Meat, Lasagne al Forno, and Linguine al Pesto. Apart from the carefully chosen wine-list, Mr. Frascati also features a full bar, so you can sit back and unwind, Italian style, in this popular Paddington haunt.

Angelus encompasses all that it means to be French. Owned by the theatrical Thierry Tomasin, the restaurant is excessive yet classy, and you can't help but abandon all your pretenses at the door. Stepping in from the small patio out front, Angelus greets you with dark wood tables, ornate wall decorations, and a bustling, cheery atmosphere that will have you believing you stepped off the sidewalk into Paris. The servers speak French here, adding to the French theme of Angelus. The Foie Gras Creme Brulee is the dish to have, but you will not encounter disappointment from anything on the menu. The twelve page long wine list can be a bit daunting, but don't fret because Thierry himself will be there to help with any of your choices.

»Bistro Daniel

Although it seems to consider itself the next best thing to an express Eurostar to Paris, Bistro Daniel isn't a small piece of Paris in London. However, it is a very good place to have some great bistro grub. It's simple and charming - if you want a finer dining experience, book a table at Amandier upstairs, also owned by Chef Daniel. Unfortunately, this unlikely location for a restaurant means that both restaurants are never heaving with diners. The menu is short and sweet, with such choices as the delicious confit duck leg with Puy lentils and steak with pommes frites. Daily specials are marked on the chalkboard.

Cristini is a small pizzeria/restaurant in Westminster with petite tables on the sidewalk. The menu boasts the likes of Trancio di Merluzzo, fusilli bolognese, duck salad, and prosciutto di Parma, accompanied by roasted potatoes. An amiable and professional wait staff makes your experience fruitful. Moreover, the hearty portions make you forget the size of the place.

»Los Remos

An elegantly decorated, award-winning restaurant, Los Remos is a great place for grabbing some tapas or a proper sit down meal. Later, you can work it all off to the flamenco and Latino beats on the small dance floor. The tapas menu is huge with over 60 dishes plus daily specials that can include anything from seafood pancakes to fried artichokes. Seafood is a Los Remos specialty so try to pick one of the many prawn, fish and crab dishes on offer. The wine list is extensive with bottles from all over Spain. And since, as the owner Roberto Lopez puts it, Los Remos is an 'active' place, a one-man band provides entertainment and music on the weekends.
