This beautiful conservation area consists of 266 acres of park like woodlands, prairie barrens, deep ravines, ridges, and cliffs. Nature trail tours, wild flower walks, and workshops are available to any group who is interested in learning more about the Conservation Area.
Interestingly named, Benld, is christened after Benjamin L. Dorsey, who had acquired the land for the town. A typical small American town, Benld hasn’t many attractions to offer visitors. However, those who are interested in geology and astronomy, will be very keen to know about the meteorite that hit Benld in 1938, damaging some private property.
