Parroquia de Chaián (Trazo)
Santiago de Compostela,
If you want to visit the area surrounding Compostela, we recommend the parish of Chaián, in the village of Trazo. In addition to the beautiful countryside of this typical Galician rural area watered by the Tambre River, there are also some interesting monuments in the area. The first is the parish church, built in 1676; but the most interesting is probably the 'Castro de Feite' (old castle), where treasure hunters found 25 hand mills and 7 ovens in 1783. Near the remains of the Celtic 'castro', there is a Roman gallery, where weapons and tools, such as bronze pikes, are preserved. It is an interesting place to visit.
