"Virginia's World Class Horse Show Facility," this 600 acre state-of-the-art environment for horse shows and other livestock events contains eight barns, twelve show rings, a five mile cross country course, a steeplechase course, a steeplechase timber, and a carriage driving course. The center also features a campground, a restaurant, catering service with banquet facilities, and a gift shop.
Opened in 2004, this grand and luxurious golf facility is an effort to entertain the locals with golf activities and tournaments. Still to be completed in terms of the designing aspect, the Vista Links is a lavish 18-hole par 72 championship golf facility in the city. An all-access club, this course has been designed by Rick Jacobson in the roller coaster style with a few roll ways on the lush green lawn. Huge area is covered by this golf course and has five tees with different ranges. The place regularly hosts tournaments and league competitions along with offering professional coaching in golf. Different tee time slots are available here which need prior reservations.

George Washington National Forest is actually part of George Washington & Jefferson National Forests, which were officially combined in 1995. Together, the two forests cover over 1.5 million acres in Virginia and West Virginia. The forests are home to a large amount of wildlife, including over 400 species of animals and 53 plants and animals that are listed as endangered or threatened species. A long portion of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail runs through the forests.
