With the iris chosen as its official flower, the city of Hobart boasts a number of heritage-listed buildings such as the City Hall, the Kiowa County Courthouse and Square and the Hobart Public Library. Shady avenues and broad squares are still reminiscent of this glorious 19th century city that was established in 1901, and named after an erstwhile vice-president Garrett Hobart. Nature lovers are often spotted indulging in a bout of swimming and fishing by the Hunter Park Lake, while the Hunter Park proves to be an educational and fun experience for the family.

These lessons prepare members for life-changing events including sacraments and help them understand more about the Roman Catholic Church. It also supports the work of organizations like the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Jubilee Club.
