The Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas is host to great college football every year. Built in 1921, with major renovations soon after, the stadium now houses just over 50,000 spectators. Dedicated to Kansas University students who fought in World War I, the facility also plays host to the Kansas Relays, a well-known track and field competition.

Named for the man who led Jayhawks basketball for 39 years, Dr. F.C. "Phog" Allen, the Allen Fieldhouse has been a home for Kansas athletics since it opened in 1955. The fieldhouse has gained prominence in college basketball by hosting many NCAA tournament games and by being labeled "the best place in America to watch college basketball." It can house 16,300 people at capacity, and the stands are often full to watch any number of sporting events held at Allen Fieldhouse. It is also used as a venue for speeches and commencement ceremonies during bad weather.
