»The Mystery Of Edwin Drood

November 28, 2014 7:30 PM

Based on the Charles Dicken's unfinished novel of the same name, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, later shortened to Drood, is a murder mystery musical that debuted in 1985 as part of the New York Shakespeare Festival. After transferring to Broadway in 1986, the show became the first Broadway musical with multiple endings to be determined by audience voting. The Mystery of Edwin Drood took home five of its 11 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. In contrast to Dicken's original work, the show takes on comedic and lighthearted tones through the chaos of its metatheatrical, multi-murderer murder mystery plot.

Boris Daenen is a drum and base producer and DJ from Belgium who goes by the moniker Netsky. His liquid funk style, defined by the use of layered instrumentals and vocals, caught the attention of Hospital Records who signed Netsky in 2009 and released his eponymous debut in 2010. With buoyant and morose melodies weaving in and out of his dance floor beats, Netsky separates himself from the hoards of drum and bass artists emerging out of Europe.
