Motion on Mainstreet may seem out of place in artsy downtown Littleton but for anyone who needs some help to relax, revive, or even just keep moving while exploring the area, it's a perfect spot to stop. Motion on Mainstreet is primarily a physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic. However, group classes are also available in yoga, pilates, pregnancy exercises, sports injury rehab, and even private sessions to determine what you specifically need to work on, whether you need physical therapy or not. Drop ins to the classes are encouraged but private sessions require an appointment. Best of all, Motion on Mainstreet gets you out and about; outdoor classes in downtown and movement sessions in the park and around town are real treats!
Duet: A Salon is located inside an old house midway between the main and old South Pearl shopping districts, making it easy to miss. However, you won't want to miss out on the experiences offered within. The knowledgeable and friendly hair stylists will cut, color and weave your tresses into a work of beauty. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended.
Tootsies nail salon is the most affordable nail salon in the Denver area. The South Pearl location in Washington Park is small but well-equipped and able to fit in most walk-in appointments even during their busiest hours. Tootsies offers express and full manicures and pedicures, soaks, and facial hair waxes and tints, all for under $35 (save their complete spa package). The nail shoppe also does traveling nail parties with advance requests and allows guests to bring in their own favorite polishes if they desire. For an affordable treatment for your hands and feet, Tootsies is a fantastic deal.
Tease is a rather unique fitness studio for Denver; in addition to the usual dance classes, Tease specializes in pole and exotic dance lessons. Whether you want to find a unique way to get into shape or want to learn more about pleasing your significant other, Tease can help. The studio offers both group and private lessons, as well as the usual jazz, Latin, and modern dance courses for those who want to learn practical applications for those arts. Tease also hosts bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday events, and other group celebrations for those more into the party lifestyle. Tease is certainly not for everyone but if you want a unique experience, Tease's prices are friendly and their staff knowledgeable and accommodating for all. - Sabrina Zirakzadeh
The Salon on Pearl is not the only hair salon in the trendy South Pearl district, but it is the best known. This is something of a shame, as there are more affordable and better salons within the same area, yet these are overlooked due to Salon's reputation. Salon on Pearl is not a bad salon by any stretch and it does offer manicures and facials alongside their hair services. You will leave pleased with the service you received and the zen decor and minimalism lends the place a nice atmosphere of serenity. However, for the amount charged, there are other alternatives. If you place stock in the name of a place, Salon on Pearl is your best bet, but otherwise, be sure to look at the other options and you'll find much better deals. - Sabrina Zirakzadeh
Dia Bella salon is not the fanciest salon in Denver, but it does give you a day of beauty and serenity even so. Specializing in skin and nail treatments, Dia Bella is a small salon with excellent stylists who do top-quality beauty treatments in an intimate environment. Appointments are difficult to schedule on short notice but planning ahead is worth it. Dia Bella's manicures and pedicures take no time but last for ages if treated properly, and their facials, scrubs, and other skin treatments are very effective and soothing. Be sure to mention any allergies in advance, though; some of Dia Bella's custom treatments may cause reactions. - Sabrina Zirakzadeh

The Louisville Recreation and Senior Center may be small, but it has many good features that help it hold its own against the fancier Boulder rec centers and private gyms. The Louisville Rec is located next to the Louisville Arboretum and includes several outdoor additions such as free access to the arboretum for picnics and outdoor walks, tennis courts, and a skate park and playground for kids. Inside, the rec center has two pools (one for kids and one for adults, including lap lanes), a water slide, sauna and steam room, several racquetball courts, two gyms, a full mile indoor track, and a selection of workout equipment that competes with what you'd find at any larger gym. Admission is fair, even for non-locals, and a variety of fitness and educational classes for adults and kids alike are available as well. -Sabrina Zirakzadeh
