29th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire January 24-25 & January 30-February 1, 2015  Faire hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays & Sundays and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Admission is $17 for adults, $7 for children ages 5-17 and free for children under 5.  The Alachua County Fairgrounds transform into a bustling medieval marketplace for the29th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire. Come be swept away by medieval magic as troupes of actors, street performers and musicians journey back to the days of yore on January 24-25 & January 30-February 1, 2015. Revel in the sights and sounds of one of North Central Floridas premier events.  Join the crowd and cheer for your favorite contender as mounted knights joust in full plate armor on the tournament field. Applaud street performers who dance, juggle and jest for your amusement. Listen to minstrels playing period music and enjoy continuous live entertainment on eight stages. Browse through the bustling medieval marketplace for that perfect gift or trinket.   Watch and enjoy a battle as it brews during the living chess match, a life-size game of chess in which medieval heroes show off their swordsmanship and battle the forces of evil. Test your own skills in games of chance, strength and skill. Watch and learn as more than 160 artisans demonstrate their skills in blacksmithing, weaving, leatherworking, woodcarving, pottery and much more. Indulge in a feast fit for a king in our food court, where you can find sweet potato fries, bloomin onions and our famous giant turkey legs.   The Faire is the perfect place to bring even the youngest members of the kingdom. Children delight in visiting the royal pavilion, where they will become lords and ladies of the court of Hoggetowne. »Passafire With Special Guests

Georgia-based reggae fusion band Passafire was formed in 2003 while its members were still students at Savannah College of Art and Design. Since the 2006 release of its self-titled debut album, Passafire has offered a reggae-rock sound with understated elements of jazz, dub, ska and hard rock. For its fourth studio album Start From Scratch, released in 2011, the band makes use of synthesizers as well as banjo and harmonica tones for a half synthetic and half organic sound.

Brooklyn-based punk rock band Parquet Courts was formed in 2010 by lead vocalist Andrew Savage, guitarist Austin Brown, bassist Sean Yeaton and drummer Max Savage. Mixing elements of post punk, garage rock and indie rock the band dropped its debut recordAmerican Specialties, as a limited cassette in 2011 before Play Pinball! Records redistributed it as an LP in 2012. Parquet Courts released its follow-up full-length album Light Up Gold, in 2012 on Andrew's Dull Tools label, earning underground and as well as mainstream acclaim once the record was re-released by What's Your Rupture? in 2013.
