Features monthly exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Black Heritage Gallery is a project of the Black Heritage Festival and is dedicated to the presentation of African-American culture and history. The gallery displays year-round exhibits and educational activities on the positive contributions of African Americans to Southwest Louisiana. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana, strives to be a clearinghouse of information for artists, art organizations and the community in the region. They publish a Cultural Resource Directory full of information about the artists and organizations that contribute to cultural life. They also keep a Calendar of Events, detailing arts & humanities events happening in the area.
Featurse a six-room display of Mardi Gras memorabilia from the Imperial Calcasieu area, the largest costume display in the state. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.
A museum tour requires 1 and 1/2 hours. It features a 300 year-old oak tree and houses historical records. It contains items of local historical interest. The Gibson-Barham Gallery houses new exhibits every 8 weeks; paintings, sculptures, etc. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Features rotating visual arts and cultural exhibits. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Children's Museum of Lake Charles is a place where kids can learn from participatory exhibits. There is an airplane simulation, mock dentist's office and several other vocational exploration booths. Museum hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
An art gallery featuring the works of local and regional artists. The gallery offers classes and a gift shop. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
Step back in time to learn about the sulphur mining process. Also features displays from local artisans & craftsmen.
