The Ivö Lake in the municipality of Kristianstad is considered to be one of the deepest lakes in Skane county. Its depth has been measured at almost 50 meters and spans across 55 square kilometers. The lake is an ideal spot for fishing enthusiasts; it provides around 25 distinct species of fishes, some of which include ide, minnow, rudd, vendace, salmon and pike. In the vicinity, are a few local attractions like the ruins of Ivohus castle and fruit plantations.
Forsakar Nature Reserve is found in the Kristianstad municipality of Sweden. It was established in 1928 and encompasses an area of 2.5 hectares. Creeks, ravines, small waterfalls make up for most of the reserves's stretch. The reserve also boasts of a rich flora-fauna along with vegetation.
Open since 1953, the Skånes Djurpark is a one-of-its-kind zoo park that shelters creatures from the Nordic belt. There are over 100 different species of animals who roam freely in their habitats here at the Skånes Djurpark. The Skånegås, Fjall cattle and the Lynx to name a few. The zoo is a part of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria.
