»Kristiansand Dyrepark

The entire family will definitely enjoy Kristiansand Animal Park. The park provides entertainment for everyone, for those big and small, young and old. The animal park is divided into different areas like Africa and Northern wilderness, Tiger's kingdom, etc. boasting more than 500 animals. And at the amusement park you will find pirates, a water park, a Tivoli plus the famous three robbers: Kasper, Jesper and Jonathan from Kardemommeby. The Water Park is open from 11a-7p and is only open during the summer. A combined ticket (Water Park and Zoo) is available for a reduced price. Free parking is offered except during the summer. Dogs are not allowed inside the park but a dog kennel is offered during the visit. You are welcome to bring your own food.

»Cardamom Town

When the Robbers Came to Cardamom Town is a classic children's book in Norway. Most children have grown up reading the story, however, Cardamom Town, an amusement park in the Kristiansand Zoo brings the story to life. The park consists of buildings resembling the ones in the book, with actors dressed up as characters playing their part to the hilt. Fans can also take a tram-ride with Syversen, the conductor. »Vennesla Bibliotek

Popular all over for its innovative and modern architecture, the Vennesla Library is a must visit if you happen to be in the area. Open since 2011, this public library was designed by Helen & Hard features beautiful and novel wooden arks that resemble a dinosaur skeleton. The building has been was awarded with the Statens byggeskikkpris, a prestigious award in 2012. Inside, the building houses a regular library that lends books, newspapers and has internet facilities as well.

Lying in the Iveland and Birkeness municipalities, Ogee is a beautiful lake comprising 360 coral reefs and isles. The lake's west end is flanked by the historic Sorland rail line.
