Housed in the Federal-style McCain House, the Armstrong County Historical Museum features a drawing room, an Indian room, a genealogical library, an exhibit room and more.
The Thomas Marshall House is located at Dayton, Pennsylvania. This house was constructed around 1865 C.E -1868 C.E and there was an extension made to this house in the year 1881 C.E. The house had a Georgian style of architecture. It got listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places on April 22, 1976.
The Maridon Museum is housed inside a building donated by the generous Mary Hulton Phillips. This museum is perhaps one of the few whose sole focus is Asian Art. Occasionally one will also find a number of German Meissen porcelain exhibits. The gallery halls are replete with Chinese paintings decorated with silk, ivory and jade sculptures, old scrolls, luminous porcelain exhibits and more. Check website for details.
Opened to the public in 1995, the Heritage Center's permanent collection in a 4,500 square foot exhibit space includes an original Bantam "jeep," the Bantam Hollywood prototype convertible sports car, and displays of many of the industries of Butler's past and present.
Learn about the history of Smicksburg and the surrounding areas via local artifacts and exhibits at the John G. Schmick Museum. A gift shop, tourist information, and a genealogical library are also available.
"A non-profit organization dedicated to honoring those who have brought fame and recognition to Beaver County through their contributions to the world of sports," the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame has inducted more than 300 members since its establishment in 1975.
The Jimmy Stewart Museum celebrates this native son's accomplishments in film, radio and TV and his personal life. Displays, film presentations and gallery talks can all be enjoyed here.
Housed in a restored circa 1875, Nationally Registered Historic Landmark, the University Museum is "dedicated to providing leadership in the development of quality collections, exhibitions, and educational and public programs." The University Museum is part of the College of Fine Arts and The Lively Arts at IUP.
