Celebrate the national pastime with this Class A franchise of the Cleveland Indians as they play exciting home games against their Carolina League rivals from April to September.
Built in 1925, this historic center is one of the last remaining buildings of Greek Classical Revival architecture still standing in North Carolina. A wide variety of local drama productions, public concerts and events, North Carolina symphony concerts, pageants, conferences, and private lectures are held here.
Originally built as a quarter-mile dragstrip in 1960, this IHRA sanctioned location is home to some of the most legendary names in all of motorsports such as Richard Petty, Don Nicholson, and Hubert Platt and offers exciting racing on Fridays in the Spring and Summer and on Sundays in the Fall.
Features critically-acclaimed films, alternative productions, restored classics and first-run foreign movies.
Activities of this annual event include a parade, fireworks show, live entertainment, a craft show, amusement rides, a karate demonstration, watermelon contests, and a pageant.
