One of the pioneering educational institutes in Illinois, the Jubilee College State Park stands six miles (9.65 kilometers) west of Peoria, Illinois. The college was closed in 1862 post the Bishop’s death. In 1933, the college building and the huge grounds were offered to the State of Illinois. The park was further expanded to 3200 acres (1295 hectares). The State offers guided tours to the restored 1840s building, the varied classrooms, dormitories, and so on. The park boasts of more than 160 species of birds and wild turkeys. Such features make a trip to here a riveting experience.

Open year round, the pro-shop has a great selection of golf clubs, apparel, and golf supplies. Palmer Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Spread over 39 acres of land, the Longview Park Conservatory and Gardens is a beautiful city park that features botanical gardens. Accessible to the visitors without any fees, the park consists of beautiful flower gardens, greenhouse, volley ball, tennis court, playground, walking trails, ice skating, and picnis shelters to spend some family time or time with some friends.
A popular golf course for players of all skill levels, the 18-hole, par 70 Duck Creek Golf Course is 5,759 yards long.
