Château de Lavérune
Sa to Su from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PMThe first work on this castle dates from the 18th Century and was undertaken by the Fredol family. Then Joachim Colbert of Croissy, bishop of Montpellier and nephew of Colbert, continued the work at the beginning of the 18th Century. The great entrance door is imposing and its exuberant decoration doesn't let you see at first sight the machicolations and arrow slits which protect the building. You can also linger in the chapel with its marble decorations. You can not visit the whole castle just the Salon de Musique (for information ask at the Town Hall) which is decorated with gypseries that are reminiscent of the Salon de Musique in the Chateau de la Mosson. You will find the Hofer Bury museum, which houses paintings and sculptures by artists of the region, in the park. It is free to visit the park.
