This 230-seat performing arts center may feel like a mid-sized, suburban church upon first approach. However, the connection with the University makes it a sanctuary for both St. Francis students and the theater-going public alike. While the theater has produced many award-winning musicals here, it frequently shares the stage with choirs and camber musicians, as well as plays produced by the school's students. An art gallery outside the center displays pieces by professional artists. This place closes everyday at 9pm.
Guests panic, doors slam and rumors run rampant. The stage is set for a hilarious good time as Neil Simon's "Rumors" comes to the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theatre in September and will be presented by the Joliet Drama Guild. Dates and show times are as follows: September 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 8 p.m.; and September 21 and 28 at 2 p.m.

Brush up on your blackjack tables and prepare to visit the town that is now famous for more than a big prison. You may wish you were in one of the cells as you start to lose your money in this Egyptian-themed boat. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, unusual for a local casino boat. Expect a smile as the Caribbean Stud dealer leans over to scoop up your last $5 chip, leaving you with just enough in your pocket to try and recoup over at the money wheel. If you have anything left after you lose that, you can get a decent meal at the steak house, or an almost decent meal at the buffet.
Vroom! Vroom! The Chicagoland Speedway is sure to blow up the airflow in the windy city. Featuring NASCAR, the Tropicana 400, and the Delphi Indy 300 showcases the best of modern auto racing. For information on upcoming events, visit their website.
