Opened in 2002, Casa da Rabeca do Brasil is a cultural center that hosts local artists' performances. Mestre Salu, for instance, is a former sugar cane worker who for more than 50 years has dedicated his work to preserve the culture of his native land. In the beginning, Casa da Rabeca was just a tent covered by coconut tree leaves open on Sundays to receive relatives, accordionists, fiddlers, zabumba players, Maracatu dancers and other artists. Today it is a place where artists gather to perform.
Eufrasio Barbosa is a marketplace located on the site of the first Royal Customs House of Pernambuco. It was also once the head office of Amorim Costa pastries factory, which was open from 1960 to 1984. The marketplace is located at the entrance to the city, and now houses a theater and an area for exhibitions and local folk performances.
Arruda Stadium is the biggest soccer stadium in northeast area of Brazil, with capacity for 65,000 spectators. It was opened in 1972, and is home for local soccer team, the Santa Cruz Futebol Clube. The place also has 400 parking spaces and a aquatic sports area with three lap pools.

Joaquim Nabuco Foundation, formerly known as the Joaquim Nabuco Institute, is a goverment institution for the preservation of Brazil's cultural and historic legacy regarding Joaquim Nabuco's work. Here you will find the Homem do Nordeste Museum, the José Carlos Cavalcanti Borges Movie Theater, the Baobá Gallery, the Vicente do Rego Monteiro Gallery and six other places for cultural and historical subjects. Foundation also offers rental spaces for cultural events, reprints of old documents, and digitalization of texts and pictures, most of which are available at the official website.
Itaipava Pernambuco Arena is the official 2014 FIFA World Cup Arena in Recife, Pernambuco. It uses the smart stadium concept to give more security, comfort and variety of services to its guests. It has capacity for 46,000 people.
This theater is located on the grounds of the Federal University of Pernambuco's convention center. It is about 20 minutes by car from the airport and 30 minutes by car from the city center. It offers a cafe, a bank branch and is capable of holding almost 2,000 people.
Malakoff Tower is a former observatory with a great location in Recife's Old City. Opened in 1855, the building was named Malakoff after a namesake tower located in Sebastopol (a city in Ukraine) that had resisted for 11 months in that year to French and English incursions. The place now hosts expositions, festivals, courses and many other cultural activities and is also open for tours.
Ibiza Club is located in Clube Internacional do Recife, a traditional entertainment club in the western area of the city. There are weekly live performances here, generally on Fridays and Saturdays, going deep into dawn and sometimes reaching until morning. During the parties, only the event house is accessible, and the other areas of Clube Internacional are closed. Opened in 1850 in honor of Princess Isabel, the Santa Isabel Theater is considered by some architects as the most beautiful theater of the Brazilian Imperial era.
