Ullensaker kirke is one of the main churches in the county. It is said that, the site where the church stands today was a temple devoted to Ullr, the Norse God of Winter and Sport, centuries before the a church was formed in 1100s. Consecrated in 1958, under the guidance of St. Olav, this building that stands today is mainly a concrete structure designed by Arnstein Arnberg and Per Solemsli wherein some artifacts, like the baptismal font, date back to 1100s. The Baroque-style altar, pulpit and some of the paintings are from 1600s. If you're a history or an arts buff, this church will leave you mesmerized.
