Since the band's debut album Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse in 2002, the Randy Rogers Band has grown to become one of the most lucrative country music acts on the scene today, earning over $2.5 million as an up-and-coming act on the tour circuit in a single year. However, the band seems to reside on the outskirts of mainstream country music, which still adds a certain something to the band's allure for listeners who appreciate the the Randy Rogers Band's lack of willingness to "sell out," so to speak.

Although he was born in a tiny farming town outside of Dallas and is currently based out of Austin, singer/songwriter Jimmy LaFave will always be associated with Oklahoma, where he once made his home. Deeply influenced by fellow Okie Woodie Guthrie, LaFave plays a sumptuous and delicate blend of country, folk and singer/songwriter rock that he dubs, "red dirt music." LaFave's distinctive high voice--simultaneously rich and brittle--is known not just in Austin, but all over the world.
