The Seaside Lagoon is a saltwater lagoon whose water comes from the ocean and is later chlorinated then dechlorinated to ensure clean the lagoon only uses clean saltwater. Besides swimming, you can play volleyball, enjoy a treat at one of the snack bars, build a sandcastle, or simply lounge around in the grassy area. Trained lifeguards are always on standby so the area is deemed safe at any given time.

This golf complex is a great place to work on your game. It features a nine-hole course, a large driving range lighted at night and a sprawling putting green. The course is strictly high-iron material with all the holes measuring only about 100 yards except two par fours. Serious golfers may also be interested in the analysis stations, at which you can use a computer to analyze your swinging performance.
Toyota Sports Center-LA Kings Training Center is designed as a practice venue for Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks and Los Angeles Kings. This training facility consists of three ice rinks of Olymic size, restaurant and a basketball court. Prominent skaters who have trained here include Mirai Nagasu, Beatrisa Liang and Evan Lysacek.
This is spectacular golf from every angle. The course is semi-private and was created by the same architect who designed the exclusive Rivera and Bel Air Country Club courses. Non-members are only allowed on weekdays, and greens fees are steep, but you'll rarely find a course this good with such amazing ocean views. The challenges of the course are found in its small greens surrounded by sand bunkers.
This popular public course demands accurate drives down its tree-lined fairways and challenging elevated greens. Located in southwest Los Angeles, and convenient to many of the South Bay beach cities, Chester Washington Golf Course attracts locals from all over the county. Although the green fees run a little high when compared to other public greens, regulars say they cannot get enough of it. Equipment rentals, carts and coffee shop are all on site. Westchester Golf Course is a short golf strip, right next to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and open daily (till 10 p.m.), making it convenient to frequent fliers. Like the runways next door, the layout is primarily flat with very wide fairways. Everything here is par three or four, but the course can still take a long time to play on weekends because of its popularity. Although the landscape is unspectacular, the course is always in good condition and the green fees are certainly reasonable. Call for more details.
Renovated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, this is a great value for a public course. The greens here are always in great condition, and are constantly praised by locals as the best aspect of the course. The fairways were traditionally less impressive, but the renovation did much to improve this problem. Overall, the course is rather flat and lengthy. Amenities include equipment rentals, pro shop and practice area.
Catering to one of the priciest communities anywhere, this private course consistently challenges its players with hilly terrain. Doubled with narrow fairways thick with trees, this course poses plenty of difficulty for even the best golfers. Although private, the course can be accessed by playing with a member, or through reciprocal play with some other private clubs. The club also has top-notch tennis facilities, attracting a number of professional players.
