One of the most respected guitarists of modern music, Tommy Emmanuel owns a complex finger style technique that has garnered him thousands of fans worldwide. Instead of using a band to create a melody, rhythm, and bass, Emmanuel requires only a single guitar to create fully realized songs. With a catalog of two dozen albums and a career spanning half a century, Emmanuel has collected well deserved critical acclaim since he released his debut album From Out Of Nowhere, in 1979. On top of his own solo work, he is known for his various collaborations with other renowned artists such as Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, Keith Urban, and Stevie Wonder. Though he continues to release and perform new material for audiences all over the world, Emmanuel has already solidified his standing as a legendary master of guitar.

Mississippi-born guitarist and singer Charley Pride is considered one of country music's greatest living performers, and of the genre's few black country music leaders. In fact, Pride was one of the first black musicians to perform at the Grand Ol Opry in 1967, and has since played toured around the world. Pride's music has reached what many consider to be the height of critical and commercial success, with 8 of his singles making it into the Billboard Hot 100, and a Grammy Award win for his song "Just Between You and Me."

The son of Fela Kuti, the most legendary afrobeat musician of all-time, Seun Kuti is carrying on the tradition laid out by his father for a new generation. When Fela died of AIDS in 1997, Seun took over as lead singer for his dad's group, Egypt 80--at the age of just 14. Since then, Seun has matured musically into the spiritual successor of his father, leading a new version of Egypt 80 (including several original members) with his saxophone playing and singing. Fans of Fela Kuti and the afrobeat genre in general will want to check out just how impressively Seun has carried the torch of his father's career forward.

Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota, a small town most notable for producing most of the world's Spam, Charlie Parr definitely gives the impression that he is from a country town a little off the beaten path. The singer/songwriter plays a resonator guitar, open-backed banjo and 12-string guitar in a style akin to old Piedmont blues. His raspy vocals croon both old gospels and new material to an equally powerful effect. Since first releasing his music in 2002, Parr has developed a strong following in Australia and New Zealand after being featured in a prominent television ad for Vodaphone. Rather procreative, Parr consistently released albums and tours fairly regularly.

Tesla is an American hard rock group that formed in Sacramento in 1984. Taking its name from the electrical engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla, the band scored three consecutive platinum albums full of blues rock and heavy metal in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Like most of its hard rock brethren at the time, Tesla suffered when the grunge onslaught took over in the early 1990s and soon after broke up in 1996. The band was able to continue around 2000, however, powered by a renewed touring appeal and a love for messing with its sound by playing cover songs or sometimes performing in an acoustic format.

Southern California trio Eve 6 was quite the "it" band in the late 90s. Its three hit singles were played profusely at college parties, it sold out arena shows across the country, it came to define a generation in the 90s; then the 90s ended. The band found its record sales dropping, lost its record deal and eventually played a final goodbye show in 2004 to a rather meager crowd. However, unable to move on from the years of their prime, two of the three original members reunited in 2007 and have been touring since. As the band hasn't written or produced any new music since its reformation, it only plays old songs, thus attracting crowds that share the members of Eve 6's mindset: a realization that their best years were in the 90s and a strong desire to relive those years.

New Madrid is a neo-psychedelic rock band that owns a textured, murky sonic aesthetic. After releasing its 2012 debut album Yardboat, the four-piece outfit collected both critical and commercial acclaim in the greater surrounding areas of its hometown of Athens, GA. With each tour, New Madrid expanded its reach into national audiences, particularly after the experimentally-minded LP, Sunswimmer. Dousing its underwater psych with experimental leanings, the band dropped the sophomore LP in 2014 with the local independent imprint Normaltown Records.
