If you are looking for a space to host a party or a small private gathering, then the Broad Street Social Club is perfect for you. Located in downtown, the club is not widespread and has a capacity to host close to 100 guests at a time. However, this intimate venue has staged some of the city's best concerts performed by well-known local and touring artists/ bands in the past. Equipped with great light and sound technology, make sure you visit one of the performances held at Broad Street Social Club.
Built by George Merritt Jr. between 1945 - 1946, it was originally called the Mart Theater and was a cinema hall till its closure in the late 1950s. It slowly deteriorated as it was not used for a long time. With the help of locals who wanted to save this historic landmark, it was restored and was renamed as The Old Theater in 1995. It is now the cultural hub of the town with dramas, musicals, children's plays and workshops being held regularly.
