    This popular, casual restaurant is noted for its signature open faced Rueben sandwich, purported to be the best in Western New York. The eatery was named after the late John Patrick Fitzgerald, a pressman who was on the now defunct Courier Express newspaper for over 50 years. Mr. Fitzgerald was well known in Buffalo’s Irish community. The restaurant’s menu includes Irish favorites like corned beef and cabbage and Irish beer cheddar soup, along with salads, wraps, wings, and sandwiches, as well as steak, ribs, and chicken dishes.     Established in 1985, this restaurant, which offers scenic views of Lake Erie, has a menu which features fresh seafood, a Friday fish fry, and more. Eat inside in the main dining room or outside on the patio overlooking the lake. Their motto is "casual dining at its finest." Appetizers include stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, hot stuffed banana peppers, and more. They also have a large selection of sandwiches, like beef on weck, buffalo chicken, and burgers, along with more substantial entrees, like prime rib (Saturday night only), New York strip steak, surf and turf, and baby back ribs.     This large, casual, family-friendly restaurant is known for their wings, burgers, pizza, beef, and their happy hour and sporting night specials. In warmer weather they open up large garage doors, which replace windows, so you can enjoy dining al fresco while inside. An arcade with lots of games will keep kids, and adults who are kids at heart, busy while they wait for their meals. Thursday is wing night; from 6 pm until closing pay $6.99 for a single order when you purchase a large drink.
