    »Pendleton Historic District

    One of the most historically diverse and significant districts in the U.S. State of Indiana is the Pendleton Historic District. The district is a fine 19th Century district with many prominent sites. Most of the contributing structures in the district finely depict the Federal, Greek Revival and the Bungalow/Craftsman styles of architecture. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the year 1991. The Falls Park is a fine recreational destination in the district.

    The Pendleton Falls Park was allotted over 150 acres despite the small size of this obscure town. The historic falls have been the epicenter of human settlement for centuries much before the settlers arrived. As of now, the park is home to a museum, winding and well-marked nature trails for hikers and a huge public swimming pool. Meeting room facilities are available as well as a divine setting for wedding receptions and other memorable events. This is no ordinary park and Pendleton is no ordinary town; the legend of the falls have found their own place in the towns daily existence.

    »Fort Harrison State Park

    Also known as Fort Ben, Fort Harrison is a state park that was established in 1996. This park offers an unique blend of history and scenery, and has something for everyone. History buffs can explore the historic Citizen's Military Training Camp and the Museum of 20th Century Warfare. Nature lovers can visit the Nature Center or simply walk through the trails of this green oasis. Other activities at the Fort Harrison State Park include fishing, hiking, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. It is also home to the Fort Golf Resort & Conference Center.     »Ellenberger Park

    Earlier known as Jameson Park, the celebrated Ellenberger Park was established in 1903. It is situated in the historic district of Irvington, which lies in the east side of Indianapolis. A great sight for visitors, the park underwent additions in the form of a pool in 1930, and an ice rink in 1962. Although the latter was closed down in 2009, the park boasts of eight tennis courts, two playgrounds, a softball diamond, a baseball diamond, a football field and a fitness trail, to enlist a few. There is a hill that is ideal for winter sports such as snowboarding and sledding. With great amenities and scenic views, the Ellenberger Park assures a memorable visit.
