Château de Malleret is a, perhaps, the oldest winery located in the Le Pian Medoc commune, which is approximately 20 minutes away from the center of Bordeaux
. The history of Château de Malleret dates back to the middle of 16th Century, when it served as a residence of Pierre Eyquem. The name of the wine estate is derived from the owner of the house known as Pierre de Malleret, who was equerry knighted by Louis XIV in 1597. Today, the wine estate is a owned by the premier wine producers known as SCEA Malleret and a guided tour to the Vat house and the cellar is where you can learn about the quality of grapes from the vineyards and the process involved in making of exquisite variety of wines.
