Plaza Bar & Grill is not your typical Mexican restaurant in Middle Tennessee. The menu does not include a variety of combination plates available by number and the Speedy Gonzales lunch special is nowhere to be found. Plaza is not your run of the mill Mexican joint, it is a step up. At Plaza, both the meals and the atmosphere are authentic, while the prices are reasonable, and the selection is more exclusive. Daily specials dictate the majority of the menu and include such options as Arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) and Tostada de Ceviche (seafood open tacos). Plaza offers guests a delightful combination of Mexican flavors with an upscale flare. -Lynn-nore Chittom

The dinner menu features such choices as filet mignon, bread Dijon salmon and a nightly special designed by the chef. The service, atmosphere and food make a trip out to Cody's well worth the time. - Lynn-nore Chittom
88Kitchen fills a much needed void in the Greater Nashville area, a fantastic Asian buffet with enough choices to keep you coming back for more. In addition to the usual offerings like beef and broccoli, Asian style green beans, and lo mien noodles, 88Kitchen also includes such delicious options as coconut shrimp, stuffed crab, a sushi bar and every imaginable combination of Mongolian barbecue. Beyond the basic Asian cuisine, the buffet also offers a complete salad bar with treats from both East and West, such as a spicy calamari salad, as well as a limited selection of American favorites such as pizza, lasagna, fried chicken and garlic bread. 88Kitchen offers something for everyone and a plentiful selection of desserts and ice cream to finish off any meal. -Lynn-nore Chittom
This is not the place for the lactose intolerant. Cheese comes with everything here, and so does a healthy serving of hospitable service. Since it opened in 1940, El Chico Cafe has been pleasing diners with its classic Mexican combinations: tamales, enchiladas and fried beans. The chef stuffs tons of meat, cheese and beans into everything he prepares, from tacos and burritos, to delicious chimichangas. Chips and salsa are a standard pre-dinner snack, and a bowl of spicy vegetables offers a decidedly different approach to 'chip-dipping.'
This restaurant provides the Music City area with some of the best barbecue pork and chicken around. The kitchen makes sandwiches, platters and ribs, and that's all, except for an occasional pie for dessert. The enormous sandwiches come piled high with chopped pork or chicken, and dinner platters come with your choice of side orders. The white beans are a popular choice. If you're planning a party or picnic, call ahead and pick up a slab or two of ribs, smothered in spices and served with a quart of rich, tangy sauce.

Other pizzerias have tried to implement a buffet, but CiCi's has perfected the process. You will find more than 10 types of pizza on the buffet, all of which are hot and fresh from then oven. It doesn't stop with pizza, though. Baked ziti, spaghetti and bread sticks are served hot and fresh all day, and for dessert, dive into one of the chocolate or apple-cinnamon pizzas. No alcohol served.

Dos Margaritas offers guests traditional Mexican fare with excellent prices and fabulous service. The atmosphere is fun and festive with excellent and friendly service. During the warmer months, Dos Margaritas opens up a patio garden area where dinner is served and smoking is permitted. One of three locations in the greater Nashville area, Dos Margaritas in Hendersonville has sister spots in Gallatin and Clarksville. All of these locations are favored by locals.
