Situated along the banks of the Colorado River, the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is the largest pool in the world covering two blocks. Built around the year 1888, it was considered as a sacred healing place by the local Native Americans and was frequented by number of famous personalities. The pool is served by the Yampah spring at the east end and the water is sourced from the south of Colorado River in Lookout Mountain and Grand Hogback areas. The water is naturally heated upto 122 degree Fahrenheit by the presence of geothermal gradient in the area. A perfect place to wind-up after series of activities and sightseeing. Built on the same hill and with some of the original lumber from Leadville's famous Ice Palace, this Victorian inn features five guest rooms with private baths, two suites with jetted tubs for two that sit within the three story turret. Doc Holliday was known as one of America's best gun fighters in the nineteenth century. His grave site, is one of the most visited places in Glenwood Springs. People come here from all over the country to pay their respects to this top notch gunslinger. Doc Holliday's Grave is located within the Linwood cemetery.
