This is the place from where President Lincoln had made his famous Gettysburg address. This is the place where the Battle of Gettysburg had taken place during the American Civil War. Visitors can stroll around the park campus, or visit various museums, quarters, cemeteries of soldiers and many more places within. Carved out of indigenous red rock formations, mature hardwood forests and meandering streams, this European-style 18-hole golf course is situated in a premier, upscale golf community with 14 lakes and streams.

A section of the Catoctin Mountain ridge forms the panoramic Catoctin Mountain Park. Visitors can enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, cross country skiing and other interesting activities in the park. The park is open to public throughout the year. The Visitor center is closed on major holidays.
