Located across the West California Street, the Frank Buck Zoo is a local Gainesville's zoo. What was initially a circus is now a popular zoo that is visited by locals and tourists alike.
Hill House Manor is an ancient manor house located in Gainesville in Texas. The manor house is also available for meetings, parties and events.
This scenic playground is on the north side of Ray Roberts Lake, with camping, boating, swimming, and fishing available. In addition, you can enjoy rollerblading, backpacking and the beach area.
Their mission is to provide the North Texas community with the opportunity to experience rare and endangered exotic wildlife in a unique and personal setting. This 126-acre educational park offers field trips, private tours, open to the public Saturdays and rental for events large and small. A Safari Tram, bucket train rides & outdoor dining areas help make Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch your next wild adventure. Open to the Public Days are every Saturday, March through November. All other events require an advanced reservation. At any one time it houses roughly 130 animals. Ongoing projects include new habitats, habitat expansions, building expansions and endangered and rare species breeding programs. They are a 501(c)(3) non profit facility, so all donations are tax deductible and go directly back into their programs and projects.
