In case the name didn't give it away, Franklin's specialty is meat. Chicken, ribs and beef are served up in classic American style. Enormous portions and reasonable prices make this restaurant a favorite with families and large groups. The menu deviates from the basic meat dishes to pasta and seafood platters. They are equally tasty and reasonably priced. Extra hungry patrons choosing should try the authentic Maryland Crab Cakes for an appetizer. Dessert lovers must indulge in the Oreo Cookie ice cream pie.
Naticakes offers guests a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy light and delicious flavor-filled cupcakes covered in decadent buttercream frosting. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the Factory in Franklin, with brick walls and high ceilings. The cupcakes are made fresh every day in a state-of-the-art kitchen, and each flavor is perfectly crafted to appeal to the tastes of both children and adults alike. Caramel lovers should not leave without trying the Dulce de Leche cupcakes. Naticakes has often been called "cupcakes for a cause" since a substantial percentage of the profits are donated to Natalie Wynn Carter Foundation, an organization devoted to improving the lives of children. -Lynn-nore Chittom

Chef Paul's brings Cajun comfort food to the Cool Springs Galleria shopping area. With a strip mall location, this Cajun spot is casual and comfortable, if a little sparse. The food is tasty, but not super spicy, like at some Cajun restaurants. Chef Paul's offers traditional Cajun favorites at very affordable prices, and gives guests delicious complimentary hush puppies while they wait for their food to arrive. Chef Paul's is the perfect place to stop in for some good gumbo, red beans and rice, a po boy, or some crawfish etoufee after a long day of shopping. If you're not in the mood for straight-up Cajun, Chef Paul's also offers a great selection of beefed-up burgers. The spinach and artichoke burger and the poblano burger are both well worth the visit. -Lynn-nore Chittom
