Crossroads includes miles of scenic riding trails, five primitive campsites, round pens, holding pens, and a confidence course. In addition to offering lessons, Crossroads also provides a quality boarding option for horses in the Middle Tennessee area.
Set in the luscious hills of Davidson County, this tourist hot spot is as close as you can get to natural wilderness. Tucked away in the Belle Meade neighborhood of the city, about 9 miles (14.48 kilometers) from downtown, the Percy Warner Park offers an expansive area of green respite for the residents of the city. Together with the Edwin Warner Park, these two are known as the Warner Parks and cover an area of 2684 acres (1086 hectares). One of the most visited parks in the state, the Percy Warner Park has picnic areas, walking trails, an equestrian center, horse trails, golf courses, and more. Plus, the park has earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places because of the rich heritage it preserves.
These days, children seem to be spending too much time watching television. But Bellevue Recreation Center is sure to lure your kids away from the electronic babysitter. There's a full-scale community playground with wooden forts and old train cars for kids to explore. Older kids can climb Bellevue Mountain, a large mound of dirt and brush. There are also enough swings, seesaws and slides to keep youngsters busy for hours. And while the children have a nice time, adults can relax in the shaded pavilion.

This 200-acre walk-through zoological park is home to the rare and beautiful. You'll encounter cougars, black bears, Bengal tigers, zebras, cheetahs and playful river otters. Kids can even go a bit wild on the Jungle Gym playground. The Croft Center, named for the sisters who left the estate to Grassmere, houses the Unseen New World exhibit and a variety of reptiles. There is also a working farm exhibit and petting zoo.
The Allen Arena is located at the south end of Lipscomb University's campus and is used for a variety of events predominantly used for basketball and volleyball matches. It is home to the university chapel, Bison and Lady Bisons. The Allen Arena has also played host to events like the 'Annual Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation Concert' wherein a number of celebrities have made appearances. With a seating capacity of 5,028, this place makes a great venue for athletic events. During concerts, the arena can accommodate upto 3,585 people.
